TPF Recruitment proudly represents a prestigious mid‑tier firm of Chartered Accountants, headquartered in the bustling city of Reading. We are seeking an adept Audit Manager to join their thriving Audit & Assurance team.
As the Audit Manager you will be instrumental in driving their audit services forward, shaping the future trajectory of the client’s service line and the firm as a whole.
Your responsibilities will encompass the proficient management of a substantial client portfolio, meticulous planning of assignments, briefing of staff, ensuring audit standards are met, and surpassing client and statutory deadlines. You will also spearhead advisory engagements.
Responsibilities
* Oversee assignments in alignment with our client’s procedural standards, confirming arrangements with clients including cost estimations and billing.
* Uphold audit quality as paramount, actively engaging in internal and external quality assurance endeavors.
* Provide comprehensive briefings to staff on client nuances and pre‑assignment directives, offering guidance and support as needed.
* Ensure assignments are completed within budgetary constraints, promptly addressing any significant points with the assignment partner and client.
* Cultivate robust client relationships, embodying the ethos of excellent client service throughout all interactions.
* Foster cross‑departmental collaboration to fulfill diverse client needs, leveraging our client’s specialist services where applicable.
* Maintain a keen eye on technical advancements, staying abreast of industry developments through continuous professional development.
* Harness your business acumen to identify new opportunities, crafting compelling proposals, and engaging in client presentations.
* Assume a mentoring role, providing guidance to students and/or seniors within the team.
Requirements
* Demonstrated experience at the managerial level in a similar capacity.
* Proven ability to manage client portfolios and nurture enduring client relationships.
* Familiarity with auditing within the SME sector is advantageous.
* Charity sector experience is desirable but not mandatory.
* A penchant for business development activities is highly regarded.
* Salary circa £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualification status.
