Overall job purpose
The Training & Compliance Officer will coordinate and deliver training across the business, ensuring all employees are trained, competent, and compliant with internal procedures and external standards. This role supports both manufacturing and business functions, ensuring training activities and records meet ISO and regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in maintaining training systems, compliance, and audit readiness across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Training Coordination & Delivery
* Coordinate and deliver training across multiple functions.
* Support onboarding and induction processes across the organisation.
* Work with managers to identify training needs and ensure appropriate coverage.
* Develop and periodically review the effectiveness of training materials and update them as required to enable continuous learning.
* Ensure training aligns with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and business processes.
* Support shift leaders in training operators against work instructions.
* Conduct regular training and inspection reviews.
Production Support
* Provide feedback to cross‑functional teams on operator performance – quality, process, health and safety.
* Take part in production huddles, 5‑S, GEMBA and continuous improvement activities.
* Work with Engineering on new product introductions and continuous improvements.
* Work with Design and Development to understand the products being manufactured.
Training Records & Systems
* Maintain and update the training matrix and competency records across all departments.
* Ensure training documentation is accurate, up to date and audit‑ready.
* Develop and implement a new LMS.
* Develop and control a training budget.
* Develop processes and KPI to measure training effectiveness and ROI.
Compliance & Quality
* Ensure all training activities comply with ISO standards (e.g. ISO 9001 / ISO 13485).
* Support internal and external audits by providing training‑related documentation.
* Ensure employees are trained against current procedures and controlled documents.
