Liquid Personnel is seeking a dynamic Occupational Therapist to join an Acute Mental Health team of a Forensic unit in Swindon, where your expertise will support adults in crisis through meaningful, recovery-focused interventions. What will your responsibilities be?
In this role, you will deliver patient-centred care to adults facing acute mental health crises or detained under the Mental Health Act. You will perform functional and risk assessments, design and implement individualized therapeutic interventions, and support recovery-based discharge planning. Working within a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), which includes psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and social workers, you will manage complex mental health needs, including forensic cases. Your responsibilities include facilitating therapeutic group sessions, supporting rehabilitation through structured routines, and contributing to service development. You will prioritize caseloads, address shifting clinical demands, and promote stability within a secure care environment.

Qualifications and Experience:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
5. HCPC registration and a degree-level qualification in Occupational Therapy
6. Proven experience in adult mental health, ideally within acute or forensic settings
7. Strong understanding of the Mental Health Act and risk assessment frameworks
8. Ability to work autonomously and as part of an MDT
9. Excellent communication, organizational, and prioritization skills
10. Experience in delivering therapeutic interventions and group work in secure environments is highly desirable
