Job Description
3. Serve as first point of contact for employee relations queries
4. Manage ER cases end-to-end, including absences, grievances, and disciplinaries
5. Provide guidance to managers on HR processes and best practice
6. Ensure accurate, structured meeting notes and case documentation
7. Liaise with Occupational Health and other stakeholders as required
8. Support implementation of HR policies and identify trends for improvement
9. Advise on staff training needs and provide informal coaching for managers
10. Maintain accurate HR records and reports in line with GDPR
11. Contribute to positive workplace culture and staff engagement initiatives
12. Collaborate with wider HR team to support employee experience projects
13. Promote equality, diversity, and safeguarding standards across sites
The Successful Applicant
A successful People Advisor should have:
14. Minimum 2 years' HR/employee relations experience
15. Experience managing multiple ER cases simultaneouslyWorking in a high volume organisation
16. CIPD Level 5
17. Strong knowledge of employment law, absence, grievance, and disciplinary processes
18. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
19. Confident drafting formal letters and documenting outcomes
20. Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively
21. Proactive, solutions-focused, and enjoys problem-solving
22. Collaborative team player with open-minded approach
23. Committed to continuous professional development in HR
24. Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
25. Strong IT skills, including MS Office and HR systems
26. Understanding of GDPR, equality, diversity, and safeguarding
