Exciting Opportunity: Band 3 Health Care Support Workers – Diagnostic Imaging We are currently recruiting Band 3 Health Care Support Workers to join our dynamic team within the Diagnostic Imaging Departments at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, with cross-site rotational opportunities across the South-West Sector of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
This includes Gartnavel General Hospital, Victoria Ambulatory Care Hospital, and the Institute of Neurological Sciences. As a valued member of our team, you will support Radiographers, medical, and nursing staff before, during, and after a wide range of imaging examinations, including Radiography, Fluoroscopy, CT, Ultrasound, Mammography, and MRI.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing high-quality direct patient care
* Assisting with imaging procedures
* Maintaining associated equipment
* Carrying out administrative tasks
* Supporting departmental operations as directed by the Superintendent Radiographer
A good understanding of confidentiality and the ability to follow NHS policies and procedures is essential.
All successful candidates will be required to complete the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Care Support Worker Induction and in-house training to achieve the necessary competencies for the role. Please note that PVG Scheme Membership / Disclosure Scotland clearance is required. While previous experience in a healthcare setting is desirable, it is not essential.
This is a full-time post (37.5 hours per week), worked over a 7-day rota, covering a 24-hour service, 365 days a year
