Domestic Services Manager – University Hospital Southampton, Southampton, England, United Kingdom.
Compensation
Up to £50,000 per annum, plus benefits. 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility for occasional weekends and evenings.
Main Accountabilities
* Manage all aspects of the interface between service users and the domestic support services delivery teams.
* Handle a variety of complex service issues, making autonomous decisions to find practical solutions.
* Oversee multiple complex issues or projects simultaneously.
* Interpret, analyse and resolve performance management issues.
* Support the Contract Director with annual budget planning, overall expenditure and contingency strategy.
* Monitor key performance indicators and develop improvement plans when standards fall below targets.
* Engage with customers, senior board managers and external parties to ensure service standards are maintained.
* Investigate client complaints, implement action plans and report to the Contract Director.
* Ensure contract service compliance in alignment with national guidelines and efficient delivery.
* Provide staff training, procedural reviews, and ensure adherence to legislation and health & safety regulations.
* Authorise procurement of materials and supplies, monitor cost, quality and wastage.
* Analyse service delivery data, preparing reports for the Contract Board.
* Maintain data integrity and security at all times.
* Manage full range of human resources issues, including recruitment, performance, disciplinary processes and staff development.
* Participate in the senior management on‑call roster.
What You’ll Need To Do The Role
* Previous experience managing a large team.
* Experience managing a delegated large budget.
* Flexibility to work occasional weekends.
* Practical experience conducting quality audits to monitor client/customer satisfaction.
* IT literacy – Microsoft Office.
* Knowledge of fire safety regulations.
* Knowledge of lifting and handling procedures.
* Intermediate Certificate in Food Hygiene desirable.
