Ocean Import Freight Forwarder – Solihull (Hybrid Working)
Two days a week working from home
£32k – £35k
Our client, a well-established freight forwarding business based in Solihull, is seeking an experienced Ocean & Air Import Freight Forwarder to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a proven track record in handling import jobs from start to finish, including customs entries, to work for a company offering excellent benefits and hybrid working.
Location: Solihull (Hybrid – 2 days WFH)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm (37.5 hours/week)
Responsibilities:
1. Manage all ocean and air import procedures from start to finish
2. Complete customs entries – extensive experience essential
3. Deliver outstanding customer service to clients and stakeholders
4. Identify opportunities to generate leads and grow the client base
Requirements:
5. Minimum 5 years’ experience in start-to-finish ocean and air import freight forwarding
6. Strong IT skills – CargoWise1 certification highly advantageous
7. Excellent knowledge of import procedures and compliance
8. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
9. Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards of accuracy
10. Professional, conscientious, punctual, and able to follow direction from senior management
You will be:
Analytical, technically focused, comfortable working within established systems, decisive within your area of expertise, and able to problem-solve effectively.
