Responsibilities
* Develop compelling research on cybersecurity and AI, providing actionable insights for CISOs and cybersecurity leaders.
* Lead client interactions—virtually or in‑person—to uncover barriers and frame solutions.
* Research, analyze, and predict market trends to deliver actionable intelligence to clients and vendors.
* Create and deliver high‑value presentations for Gartner events, conferences, and client briefings.
* Support research and sales teams by serving as the voice of the market and driving engagement with clients.
* Provide peer‑review of research content and ensure high quality outcomes.
* Build and maintain credibility as an industry expert representing Gartner research, methodology, and strategy.
* Collaborate with peers in the research community on innovation, ideation, and research discussions.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; graduate degree preferred.
* 10+ years of enterprise experience in:
o Software security / application security programs
o Product security engineering programs
o Enterprise software engineering or software architecture programs
* Experience or interest in cybersecurity controls for AI and generative AI.
* Evaluating technology markets that support securing AI.
* Evaluating frameworks and standards for securing AI.
* Strong writing ability—capable of producing detailed yet understandable research content.
* Excellent communication skills for engaging clients and responding effectively to questions.
* Superior analytical skills, applying conceptual models, recognizing patterns, drawing, and defending conclusions.
* Ability to work independently while being intrinsically motivated to collaborate.
* Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% (where applicable).
