About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Catering Supervisor to join our contract catering team. This role supports the day‑to‑day operation of the catering service, ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, customer service, and operational efficiency are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and support catering staff during daily service.
* Ensure excellent customer service standards are consistently delivered.
* Assist with food preparation, presentation and service.
* Monitor food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures.
* Manage stock levels, ordering and inventory control.
* Support staff training, development and performance management.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and client requirements.
* Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally.
* Assist with cash handling and daily reporting where required.
* Help achieve financial targets and minimise waste.
Qualifications
* Previous experience commensurate with role.
* Passion for food and customer service.
* Ability to supervise, train and support a team.
* Understanding of delegation and influencing skills.
* Excellent organisational abilities; high attention to detail.
* Concise and effective verbal and written communication.
* Ability to adapt to challenges with a solution‑oriented perspective.
