The Role
We’re looking for a sharp, culture-attuned Content Writer (aka Content Marketing Manager) to join our team and own long-form editorial content. This is not a copywriting job — it’s about thought leadership, storytelling, and shaping opinions. You’ll dive into the creator economy, tech, and cultural trends, and publish pieces that spark conversation across LinkedIn, Substack, and industry press.
The ideal candidate has a journalistic background, knows how to research, and isn’t afraid to have an opinion. You’ll be curious, provocative, and passionate about how creators, brands, and culture intersect.
What You’ll Do
* Write long-form articles, essays, and reports that position Kyra as a thought leader.
* Research emerging trends across creator economy, AI, media, and digital culture.
* Develop original angles — beyond the obvious — that spark industry debate.
* Collaborate with founders, marketing, and data teams to shape narratives.
* Adapt content for multiple channels: blog, Substack, LinkedIn, trade media.
* Build relationships with journalists, analysts, and cultural commentators.
* Uphold high editorial standards: accuracy, nuance, and originality.
What We’re Looking For
* Background in journalism, cultural commentary, or editorial writing.
* Demonstrated ability to craft sharp long-form content (samples required).
* Strong research skills — can dive into data, reports, and interviews.
* Clear point of view: you can take a stance and back it up.
* Interest in the creator economy, influencer marketing, and digital culture.
* Comfortable in a fast-moving, startup environment.
* Bonus: experience with Substack, newsletters, or community-driven content.
