Are you a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant passionate about supporting children with additional needs?
Academics Rochester is currently recruiting for a strong KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school on the outskirts of Sittingbourne. This role involves supporting children with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing targeted, compassionate support to KS2 pupils with additional needs
* Supporting classroom teaching and learning activities tailored to individual needs
* Assisting in managing behaviour and promoting positive social interactions
* Collaborating closely with teachers, SENCO, and specialist staff
* Helping to deliver interventions and promote independence in learning
The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience supporting children with Autism and SEMH in a primary school setting
* Strong understanding of additional needs and inclusive education
* Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Commitment to making a positive impact on pupils' learning and well-being
