A popular and inclusive secondary school in Derbyshire is seeking a committed Attendance Officer to join its pastoral and safeguarding team from January 2026. The Role You will play a crucial part in ensuring students attend school regularly and punctuality remains high. Working closely with Heads of Year, the safeguarding lead and external agencies, you’ll help identify patterns, support families and drive improvements. Duties include: Monitoring daily attendance registers Calling parents/carers regarding absences Recording codes accurately and updating MIS Meeting students to discuss attendance targets Producing attendance reports for leaders and governors Supporting home visits with pastoral staff where appropriate The School The school is well-established with a caring ethos and strong pastoral systems.
