What the Job Involves The Building Surveyor is responsible for delivering both programmed and responsive maintenance works as well as conducting condition and compliance surveys within the council’s property estate. You will play a crucial role in supporting the Facilities Manager by overseeing asset management, ensuring health and safety compliance, and advising on building works. Key tasks include managing maintenance programs, developing compliance policies, handling emergency situations, managing project budgets, liaising with contractors, and providing technical advice on building specifications and maintenance. With a focus on ensuring statutory compliance, you will travel to various sites, often in challenging conditions, to execute building surveys and instruct maintenance work.
