Workshop Controller & Quality Controller Role Overview: We are seeking a proactive Workshop Controller & Quality Controller to lead our workshop operations and ensure every vehicle meets our rigorous safety and quality standards. This is a "hands-on" leadership role where you will be responsible for the entire repair lifecycle—from allocating work to technicians to the final quality sign-off and road test. Working Hours: * Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:00 * Shift Pattern: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday * Lunch: 1-hour unpaid lunch break Workshop Controller & Quality Controller Key Responsibilities: * Workflow Management: Optimise workshop productivity by allocating jobs based on technician skill sets and ensuring all repairs are completed within agreed timescales. * Quality Assurance: Perform final multi-point inspections and road tests on all vehicles to ensure "Right First Time" delivery to manufacturer standards. * Team Leadership: Supervise, coach, and motivate a team of technicians and apprentices, maintaining a high-performance culture. * Process Compliance: Ensure all work is documented accurately and complies with Health & Safety (HSE) and environmental regulations. * Communication: Act as the primary liaison between the workshop and service advisors to provide real-time updates on vehicle progress and parts requirements.
