Overview
The Royal United Hospitals Bath (RUH Bath) is looking to recruit a dedicated and forward-thinking Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist to join our Gynaecological Oncology team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an energetic, innovative and cohesive department that provides comprehensive sub-specialist care in gynaecological oncology. In this key role, you will make a difference by delivering high-quality clinical services and contributing to the continued development of our expanding oncology provision.
We are proud to have launched our Gynaecological Oncology Sub-Specialty Training Programme, with our first trainee now in post. The appointed consultant will have regular access to our da Vinci robotic surgical platforms, supporting the delivery of advanced minimally invasive surgery. Additionally, RUH Bath is home to the only HIPEC and PIPAC programme in the South-West, now successfully running for over a year.
Our Obstetrics & Gynaecology department is nationally recognised for excellence in training. We recently received top accolades in all four categories of the Training Evaluation Form (TEF) survey in the medium-sized hospital category. Regionally, we are consistently ranked in the top three, and nationally within the top ten.
