We are looking for a caring, proactive and professional Family Support Worker to join of our client schools to join their pastoral team. This is a key role in helping to support children and families to overcome barriers to learning and wellbeing.
The successful candidate will work closely with pupils, parents, and staff to provide early help, offer guidance, and build positive relationships that make a lasting difference.
About You:
You have experience working as a Family Support Worker or in a pastoral role within a school or community setting
You can communicate effectively and sensitively with children, families, and colleagues
You are well-organised, approachable and able to work both independently and as part of a team
You have a good understanding of safeguarding, child protection and multi-agency working
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting families facing challenges that affect attendance, wellbeing or progress
Offering advice, practical support and early intervention to improve outcomes for pupils
Working with outside agencies and services to coordinate support plans
Keeping accurate records and contributing to the school’s safeguarding culture

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
