Overview
SEN Teaching Assistant role in a welcoming two-form entry mainstream primary school in Nuneaton, supporting pupils with ASD in a dedicated communication and interaction hub for Years 3 to 6. The role involves 1:1 and small group interventions, with a focus on inclusion and progress.
Responsibilities
* Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions tailored to individual needs within the communication and interaction hub.
* Support pupils across Years 3 to 6 with complex needs, including challenging behaviour.
* Work closely with class teachers and other SEN staff as part of a specialist team.
* Assist with tracking pupil progress and contribute to developing effective inclusion strategies.
* Participate in a well-established enhanced SEN provision for pupils with communication and interaction needs.
* Contribute to a supportive school culture and collaborate with a highly experienced SENCO.
Qualifications
* A Level 2/3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent).
* Proven experience working with children with ASD and behavioural challenges.
* Familiarity with EHCPs and confidence in tracking pupil progress.
* Good understanding of the KS2 curriculum and strategies to support inclusion.

* Location: Coventry, CV10 (near Nuneaton Town Centre)
* Weekly rate: £455-£480
* Start date: ASAP
* Hours: 8:30am–3:00pm (Term Time Only)
* Contract: Long term to permanent
* Additional: Located in CV10 within walking distance of local transport links and town centre amenities; two-form entry with a diverse intake including many pupils with English as an additional language.
* Other: Free CPD, including training in Autism Awareness and Behaviour Management; trial days available instead of formal interviews.
