THE ROLE
Location: London based with frequent travel to the South of England and the Midlands
This is a high-impact, field-based role responsible for the delivery of both reactive and planned maintenance across a region of circa 60 restaurants.
Your focus will be simple:
1. Keep our restaurants trading
2. Minimise disruption and downtime
3. Ensure every store meets safety and brand standards
You’ll work closely with Operations, Property, and Construction teams, while managing contractors and driving continuous improvement across your region.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Operational Excellence
4. Minimise store closures, equipment downtime, and maintenance disruption
5. Take ownership of all building fabric, systems, and equipment across your region
6. Resolve complex maintenance issues, bringing in specialist support where required
Field Leadership
7. Regularly visit restaurants to assess condition and identify repairs and improvement plans
8. Build strong relationships with General Managers, District Managers and Regional Directors
9. Lead regional conversations on maintenance performance and trends
Project & Investment Management
10. Manage capital investment projects from scope to handover
11. Ensure work is delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to brand standards
12. Understand and balance spend against store P&L impact
Compliance & Standards
13. Ensure all stores meet Health & Safety and statutory requirements
14. Maintain high standards aligned to Five Guys design and construction principles
15. Use CAFM data to identify trends and drive improvements
Continuous Improvement
16. Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and supplier performance
17. Champion best practice across the Property and Maintenance function
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment and can balance hands-on problem solving with strategic thinking.
Experience & Knowledge
18. Proven experience in Facilities or Property Maintenance within a multi-site environment
19. Ideally from hospitality, retail, or food & beverage
20. Strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC and commercial kitchen equipment
21. Experience managing contractors and capital projects
Skills & Capability
22. Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities across a large region
23. Strong stakeholder management – confident working with senior operational teams
24. Data-driven mindset with experience using CAFM systems
25. Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team
Qualifications (desirable)
26. FM or property-related qualification (BIFM, MRICS, or equivalent)
27. Degree, HND, or similar in Facilities Management, Engineering, or Business
