Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Phlebotomist to join our friendly collaboration of eight GP Practices. The applicant will primarily work in our Old School Surgery in Seaford
Working alongside the practice nurses and HCA's and under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager the post-holder will be responsible for performing venepuncture to obtain blood samples from patients as the result of a direct referral from a clinician or as part of long term condition or medication monitoring. To collect blood samples from patients in accordance with venepuncture, infection control and laboratory policies and procedures.
A certificate in venepuncture or its equivalent is a minimum requirement for application. The successful candidate will be required to complete a probationary period during which they will undertake a competency assessment supported by the Nurse Manager.
Salary is negotiable, depending on experience.
