Assistant Store Manager - 40 Hour Permanent Contract at Seasalt, Eastbourne, United Kingdom.
Join Seasalt to help lead a store team, maximise profitability, and drive KPI targets. This role offers a potential stepping stone in retail leadership with many Assistant Store Managers progressing to Store Manager roles.
Responsibilities
* Assisting the Store Manager in creating a service culture that puts the customer at the heart of everything the team does
* Enabling the store team to recommend additional services to drive sales, including omni-channel selling, gathering customer data, and recommending add-on purchases
* Supporting the Store Manager with recruitment to build a diverse and passionate team
* Being a great role model, driving store sales, profitability and KPI achievement, and understanding what is required to drive performance
* Coaching and developing the store team through regular 121s and development plans when appropriate
* Communicating store performance to the team and key stakeholders, providing regular feedback and highlighting risks and opportunities to sales
* Implementing store visual merchandising, window standards, and guidelines using product information to maximise opportunities
* Utilising product information to maximise sales opportunities
* Managing store operations including stock, loss prevention, escalation and incident reporting, health and safety, GDPR, cash handling, key holder responsibilities, and store safety standards
* Being a key-holder and sole responsible for running the store when required
The Skills You'll Be Sharing With The Team
Leading with exceptional retail skills, product knowledge, and commercial know-how to inspire the team to exceed sales and maximise profitability. Previous experience leading a team at supervisor level or above in retail or similar environment is preferred, with a track record of KPI achievement and budget management. Coaching and developing your team and effective communication are key to this role.
