<div><p>As a Assoicate or Practice Nurse, you will be anintegral part of our multidisciplinary team, delivering patient-centred careacross a wide range of clinical areas. You will assess, plan and deliver careto the highest standards, supporting patients with both acute and long-termconditions while promoting health and wellbeing.</p><h3>Main duties of the job</h3><ul><li>Deliver high-quality nursing care in line with practice protocols and national guidelines</li><li>Immunisations and vaccinations, including antipsychotic depot injections,childhood, flu, shingles and travel vaccines</li><li>Perform ECGs, spirometry and other diagnostic tests</li><li>Cervical cytology and screening procedures</li><li>Respond to medical emergencies including anaphylaxis and resuscitation</li><li>Maintain safe storage, handling and stock control of vaccines and medications</li><li>Support infection prevention and control standards</li><li>Participate in occasional home visits where appropriate</li><li>Cervical screening</li><li>New patient and NHS health checks</li><li>Child and adult immunisation programmes</li><li>Maintain accurate, contemporaneous clinical records using the practice clinical system</li><li>Actively participate in practice meetings and clinical audits</li><li>Engage in continuous professional development and annual appraisals</li><li>Contribute to the development of practice policies, protocols and services</li><li>Registered Nurse (NMC) or Associate Nurse (FdSc)</li><li>Experience in primary care or community nursing (desirable but not essential)</li><li>Competence in vaccinations, including travel immunisations</li><li>Strong IT skills essential, including confident use of clinical Duties</b></p><ul><li>Deliver high-quality nursing care in line with practice protocols and national guidelines</li><li>Wound care, suture removal, venepuncture and management of minor injuries</li><li>Administration of medications, including antipsychotic depot injections</li><li>Immunisations and vaccinations, including childhood, flu, shingles and travel vaccines</li><li>Perform ECGs, spirometry and other diagnostic tests</li><li>Cervical cytology and screening procedures</li><li>Health checks including BP, BMI, and cardiovascular risk assessments</li><li>Respond to medical emergencies including anaphylaxis and resuscitation</li><li>Maintain safe storage, handling and stock control of vaccines and medications</li><li>Support infection prevention and control standards</li><li>Chaperone and assist clinicians where required</li><li>Participate in occasional home visits where appropriate</li></ul><p><b>Chronic Disease Management</b></p><ul><li>Support the management of long-term conditions including:</li><li>Asthma & COPD</li><li>Diabetes and pre-diabetes</li><li>Coronary Heart Disease</li><li>Mental Health conditions</li><li>Run and support disease-specific clinics</li><li>Contribute to QOF targets and patient recall systems</li></ul><p><b>Health Promotion & Screening</b></p><ul><li>Deliver proactive and opportunistic health promotion, including:</li><li>Weight management</li><li>Alcohol and substance misuse</li><li>Support screening programmes:</li><li>Cervical screening</li><li>New patient and NHS health checks</li><li>Child and adult immunisation programmes</li></ul><p><b>Professional & Administrative Duties</b></p><ul><li>Maintain accurate, contemporaneous clinical records using the practice clinical system</li><li>Actively FdSC</li><li>Strong clinical skills across treatment room and chronic disease management</li><li>Competence in vaccinations, including travel immunisations</li><li>Experience administering antipsychotic injections and performing ECGs (or willingness to train)
