We are now looking for a Lead Developer (C#) to take technical ownership of our C# development standards, driving best practice and continuous improvement across the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Act as the technical lead for the C# development team, ensuring alignment with best practice and coding standards.
2. Perform requirements gathering, analysis, design, coding, and unit testing for new and existing self-developed systems.
3. Oversee the maintenance, enhancement, and support of existing applications, ensuring quality and performance.
4. Contribute to the definition and improvement of software development processes, tools, and methodologies.
5. Manage the technical relationship with corporate IT regarding Azure and related infrastructure.
6. Coach and mentor team members, promoting collaboration, knowledge sharing, and adherence to quality standards.
7. Ensure compliance with internal change control systems and maintain robust documentation across all development activities.
8. Drive continuous improvement through performance reporting and process optimisation.
What We’re Looking For:
9. Minimum 3 years’ experience in C# software development.
10. Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and object-oriented design principles.
11. Proficiency with C# .NET, Microsoft Visual Studio, and Azure tools and services (including ARM and scaling for performance).
12. Excellent communication and team leadership skills, with a passion for mentoring and technical excellence.
13. Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (Microsoft Certified Professional Developer qualification also accepted).
Desirable:
14. Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD), Lean or Agile methodologies.
15. Exposure to SQL Server, MySQL, Java, HTML, XML, or Web Services.
16. Experience in the pharmaceutical distribution or retail pharmacy industry.
