The Live Music Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing live music programming that aligns with the organization's mission, brand, and audience experience. This role involves working closely with artists, agents, venues, and internal teams to curate engaging lineups, manage event logistics, and ensure high-quality live performances.
Key Responsibilities
* Talent Booking & Scheduling
* Identify, source, and book musicians and bands that fit the organization's artistic vision and audience profile.
* Negotiate contracts, fees, and performance terms with artists and agents.
* Develop and maintain a booking calendar, ensuring balanced programming throughout the year.
* Event Planning & Logistics
* Coordinate event production, including sound checks, stage setup, and technical requirements.
* Collaborate with production, operations, and marketing teams to ensure smooth event execution.
* Secure necessary permits, licenses, and agreements as required.
* Artist & Stakeholder Relations
* Serve as primary point of contact for performers, ensuring professional communication and hospitality.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with local and touring musicians, agents, and industry professionals.
* Support community engagement by incorporating local talent when possible.
* Marketing & Promotion Support
* Partner with the marketing team to create compelling promotional materials, social media content, and press outreach.
* Ensure accurate and timely communication of event details across all channels.
* Budgeting & Administration
* Track and manage budgets for live music events, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
* Process contracts, invoices, and payments in a timely manner.
* Provide post-event reports and insights to improve future programming.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Music, Arts Management, Event Production, or related field (or equivalent professional experience) is preferred.
* 2–4 years of experience in live event coordination, talent booking, or music programming.
* Strong knowledge of diverse music genres and current industry trends.
* Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail.
* Effective communicator with proven negotiation and relationship management skills.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
* Proficiency in event management tools, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
Preferred Skills
* Experience working with venues, festivals, or performing arts organizations.
* Familiarity with audio/visual production and stage management.
* Established network of musicians and industry contacts.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £26,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
