Public Transport Lead Officer - CMB2162e
Join Cumberland Council’s Highways and Transport team in a key role supporting the delivery of public transport services. You’ll lead on the English National Concessionary Travel Scheme, bus service registrations, passenger information, and bus infrastructure projects, while working collaboratively with operators and partners to improve connectivity across the region.
Salary: £40,777 - £41,771 per annum Hours: 37 hours per week Location: Carlisle Contract: Permanent
What You’ll Do
* Manage and develop concessionary travel schemes.
* Oversee bus service registrations and compliance.
* Coordinate bus information and infrastructure provision.
* Support community and demand-responsive transport initiatives.
* Work with stakeholders to optimise public transport services.
* Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
* HNC/NVQ Level 4 or equivalent experience.
* Knowledge of data analysis and project management.
* Experience in public transport or related services within the public sector.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
