As Planning & Governance Lead, you will play a pivotal role in supporting governance and strategic planning activities within the People function. This is a high-impact role requiring critical judgement, strong analytical skills, and the ability to partner with and influence senior stakeholders. You will integrate a range of inputs to build and maintain an accurate picture of the function’s plans and activities, bringing insight and challenge to risk identification and mitigation.
About the role
* Manage governance processes for Royal London Committees (e.g., Remuneration Committee, Nominations Committee, Board, RLAM sub-committees, and working groups).
* Plan and coordinate internal and external meetings, ensuring annual governance planners, committee agendas, and submissions are managed effectively.
* Track committee deadlines, coordinate with stakeholders, and escalate issues with recommendations as needed.
* Support committee paper tracking, action logs, and maintenance of the annual governance planner.
* Liaise with Company Secretariat and internal stakeholders to ensure timely submission of papers.
* Manage the People Planning process to identify and address strategic priorities, dependencies, and risks.
* Support the Strategic Outcome Performance Tracker process and associated monthly reporting.
* Coordinate the People Risk agenda, including preparation for risk forums and metrics reviews.
* Oversee operational cost base management, including business planning, spend tracking, forecasting, and continuous improvement of budgeting and cost management.
