Were working with a Local Authority in Warwickshire to recruit an experienced Benefits Officer. This position focuses on supporting residents to manage their rent and council tax through accurate assessment and administration of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction claims.
You’ll provide tailored advice to customers, helping them understand their entitlements and access additional financial support, including discretionary schemes and wider financial inclusion services.
Key Responsibilities
* Process new claims and changes in circumstances.
* Resolve queries and carry out in-claim reviews to ensure accurate and timely payments.
* Review decisions when new information is received.
* Liaise with the Single Fraud Investigation Service when required.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in Housing Benefit processing.
* Strong working knowledge of Civica Open Revenues.
* Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
