Moving Venue is one of the original event caterers in London. We have been impressing clients with outstanding events since 1984. Our reputation for delicious food and outstanding excellence has secured us a place on the accredited supplier list of over 40 venues, in and around London.

From historic palaces, to museums, blank canvasses and everywhere in between, we can cater for you just about anywhere, bringing our vast experience and operational knowledge along for the ride.

We understand the quirks and idiosyncrasies of the places where we work and are always happy to share our experience, advising what is best for your event. We provide delicious seasonal dishes, lovingly produced by our team of talented chefs, at events planned by our team of event and foodie fanatics.

What The Role Requires

This is a senior, leadership-focused role for an experienced Event Operations Manager.

You will take full ownership of complex, high-profile events, confidently managing teams, stakeholders, and logistics while delivering exceptional results.

We pride ourselves on our operational knowledge and delivery, if you have a passion for operating and delivering outstanding events, you would be the ideal person for this role.


Key Responsibilities

* Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale and complex events
* Take full accountability for event execution and operational performance
* Manage and inspire FOH & BOH teams, setting standards on-site
* Build and maintain strong relationships with London venues and suppliers
* Oversee all event logistics including staffing, equipment, and transport
* Collaborate with chefs and planners to ensure seamless delivery
* Anticipate and resolve operational challenges proactively
* Ensure full compliance with health & safety and company standards
* Support and mentor junior team members
* Oversee event costings and administrative processes


What You'll Bring

* Minimum 3+ years’ experience in event operations
* Proven experience working across a range of London venues
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Excellent stakeholder and relationship management
* Advanced organisational and logistical planning ability
* Calm, confident decision-making under pressure
* A high level of attention to detail and commitment to quality
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
