We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and compassionate Clinical Nurse Lead to join our team on Beckfield, Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Hopewood Park in Sunderland.
Responsibilities
* Beckfield is a trust wide service. We provide intensive assessment, treatment and support for individuals in mental health crisis.
* Work within a multi‑disciplinary team, developing collaborative, needs based care plans, through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation within an inpatient setting.
* Play a key role in delivering trauma informed, recovery focused approach to care and treatment planning.
* Embed practices that reduce restrictive interventions.
* Act as an identified deputy in the absence of the Ward Manager.
* Facilitate and coordinate clinical practice, ensuring high standards of evidence based care and treatment.
* Be visible and accessible to patients, families and carers working together to ensure efficient, effective and caring services.
* Lead on the implementation of all performance indicators, essential standards and quality outcomes.
* Develop and where appropriate deliver training packages to enhance the knowledge and skills of the workforce and students.
* Facilitate staff appraisals and clinical supervision and support personal development plans.
* Provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity.
