A leading Financial Services organisation is looking for an experienced Employee Relations Consultant (AVP) to join its UK & Ireland HR team on an interim basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident ER professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, regulated environment and enjoys partnering closely with senior stakeholders. You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting managers and employees across the business, providing expert advice on complex ER matters while protecting the organisation from legal, financial and reputational risk.
What you’ll be doing
As a trusted ER partner, you will:
Provide expert advice and hands-on support across a broad range of employee relations matters
Lead and facilitate ER investigations including performance, conduct, sickness absence, grievance and anti‑harassment cases
Coach and advise managers to ensure fair, consistent and legally compliant outcomes
Partner with HR Business Partners on in‑scope and out‑of‑scope TUPE activity, including consultation and policy analysis
Work closely with Employment & Regulatory Legal teams on ER cases and policy changes
Stay ahead of UK and Ireland employment law, ensuring knowledge is shared and policies remain compliant
Support business change initiatives with an ER lens, including redundancy and organisational change
Collaborate with Occupational Health and PHI providers to ensure proactive and joined‑up case management
Contribute to global, regional and local HR projects and policy reviews
Support ER colleagues across the UK, Ireland and wider EMEA when required
What we’re looking for
You’ll bring:
A degree in HR, Business or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Proven experience in a fast‑paced Employee Relations environment
Strong knowledge of UK and Irish employment law
A track record of managing complex ER cases end‑to‑end
experience working in a global, matrixed organisation
Financial Services experience (highly desirable)
