Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
£37,500 plus benefits (DAY POSITION)
A Monday to Friday day position for a multi-skilled Mechanical maintenance Engineer is required by a long established and respected Engineering and Manufacturing Company based near St Neots. This is a permanent position.
Purpose of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
This interesting and varied “hands on” role involves working with a variety of different engineering machinery, fixing breakdowns, following monthly maintenance schedules. Both mechanical and some electrical skills and experience are required however this role will be more Mechanical biased.
You must be able to work within a team, either in the main production area or if applicable on a client’s site and be aware of all aspects including Health & Safety, Production, Inspection and Discipline.
General Objectives and Responsibilities for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
* Maintaining various site machinery including Machine Shop Mills, Lathes, and Drills/ Sheet-Metal & Fabricating machines including hand tools, polishers, heaters etc.
* Assembling and fitting new equipment.
* Carrying out electrical works around our site.
* Plumbing.
* Cover general site maintenance and breakdowns.
* To carry out a policy of quality engineering when working in the factory / on site.
