You will be part of the Directorate of Health, Education and Wellbeing team, the role will be to carry out planning, development, delivery and formative assessment of GCSE Biology and science units on our T Level foundation and T Level programmes in health.
It is essential you are qualified to minimum of degree level in the appropriate subject and possess a teaching qualification. Candidates should have experience of successfully delivering GCSE or higher within a college or school environment.
It is essential that you have the ability to build positive relationships, displaying excellent communication, have expert knowledge in your subject, organisational skills and administrative skills demonstrating a flexible and professional attitude.
A full-time teaching role has 828 delivery hours.

2. The Post
* A) To plan, deliver and carry out formative assessment for GCSE Biology, and science units in Health in line with the awarding body requirements and the College Teaching and Learning framework.
* B) To develop and deliver best practice in learning, teaching and assessment ensuring standardisation and continuity. To design, develop and monitor resources for student use.
* C) To maintain appropriate standards of student behaviour and follow college procedures for unacceptable behaviour.
* D) To be pro‑active in identifying strategies to improve student performance and success rates to enhance the learning experience.
* E) To assess students according to established guidelines and prepare them thoroughly for external examinations.
* F) To complete documentation, marking and appropriate records of student performance and administration associated with role and responsibilities.
* G) To keep up to date with curriculum initiatives, development of standards and general developmental and professional issues relating to the delivery of learning in your area.
* H) To contribute to quality procedures, contributing to thorough, evaluative programme reviews which feed into the self‑assessment process.
* I) To attend relevant CPD activities across the academic year for continual personal and professional development.
* J) To work flexibly as directed by the line manager.
* K) To undertake any other duties, which may be reasonably regarded as commensurate with the responsibilities of the post.
