The Job:
You will join a multidisciplinary development team of engineers, surveyors, archaeologists, planners and architects, within a business that offers both diverse project exposure and the autonomy to grow your expertise and professional network. This is a strategic opportunity within the Rural Surveying team for an MRICS-qualified Chartered Surveyor with strong experience across rural practice and a proven ability to develop teams, build brand presence and establish lasting client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a broad range of rural surveying and professional services work
- Support the growth and development of the Rural Surveying team
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and professional networks
- Contribute to increasing brand awareness within the region
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across development projects
- Provide expert advice based on a strong understanding of the rural landscape
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the sector
The Company:
Working for a leading UK company that is all about land and property. Working from four offices across the Midlands, we offer an array of services - planning, architecture, building surveying, valuation and business consultancy.
The Candidate:
- Commercially astute and highly motivated, with strong people management, team building, and client relationship skills
- Able to interpret market trends and translate them into clear, actionable strategies, supported by a strong understanding of rural property law, agricultural economics and sustainable land use practices
- Proven track record in rural consultancy and strategic delivery, with strong client care focus
- High level of technical expertise in valuation and development appraisal, with confident decision making and problem solving abilities
- Resilient, adaptable and comfortable working in a fast paced environment
- Holds relevant qualifications, including an MRICS-accredited degree
- Confident using social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter) for professional purposes
- Full, clean UK driving licence with willingness to travel between sites and client meetings

All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
