DESCRIPTION
Operations is the beating heart of Amazon. This key part of our business ensures we dispatch and deliver orders efficiently so our customers receive their items on time. It is driven by Delivery Station Managers who bring teams together to promote safety, quality, and productivity across our sites. In this role, you'll lead other managers and create operational plans to meet targets. The focus is on driving operational excellence to shape the future of Amazon.
Key job responsibilities
1. Manage and develop a team of Area Managers
2. Lead operational teams during shifts, resolve issues, and enhance site performance
3. Analyze shift performance against business objectives and implement improvement actions
4. Collaborate with HR, Finance, Health and Safety, Security teams
5. Design and implement initiatives to improve operational performance
A day in the life
You will have ownership of an entire Delivery Station, leading teams, monitoring performance, and seeking ways to improve customer experience. Your role involves close engagement with daily operations and contributing to innovation at your site.
Daily activities include stakeholder collaboration, performance and risk analysis, and demand planning. You will mentor your team to achieve excellent results.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* A degree
* Experience in people and stakeholder management
* Proficiency in verbal and written English and intermediate proficiency in the local language
* Experience using data or anecdotal evidence for decision-making
* Experience in production and supply chain areas
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques
* Experience in logistical environments
* Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
