Fire & Security Engineer – London
Alarm Communications Limited are a leading team of fire protection, commercial security and building management systems specialists, with our Head Office located in Surrey. Our client base is predominantly built of prestigious buildings and landmarks, such as high‑end hotels, stadia and educational establishments in and around Greater London.
We are currently looking to appoint a new Fire & Security Engineer, specifically covering the London Area. You will have a primary focus of taking an on‑site lead in the delivery of fire and security projects, including the installation and commissioning of fire alarm and security‑related systems. This role requires technical expertise and hands‑on involvement in the execution of projects, ensuring efficient and successful installations, whilst also providing high levels of customer satisfaction.
Systems
Systems vary but are mostly large‑scale networked systems including Gent, Advanced, Notifier, Avigilon, HikVision, Axxonsoft, Salto, Assa Abloy, ACT, Paxton, Galaxy, Texecom and Cortech.
Alarm Communications Engineers
* Work as part of a small and dedicated key account support team, collaborating regularly with fellow engineers and apprentices.
* Deliver projects professionally and to exceptional standards, completing works for long‑standing, prestigious contracts with direct end‑user relationships.
* Receive time, support and resources to install these systems to the highest possible standards, with extensive training provided to achieve expert status with our primary systems.
* Report to the Contract Manager for that area, liaising regularly with Senior Engineer, Service Coordinator and Service Manager.
Requirements
* At least 2 years of experience as a Fire and Security Engineer with a range of different products and manufacturers.
* Electrically competent, able to carry out safe isolations and maintain a safe working environment.
* Experience installing, commissioning and maintaining systems.
* Customer oriented, with the ability to adapt and respond to clients in different situations.
* Good attention to detail and ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.
* Passion to continue learning and developing skills.
* Desire to install and maintain systems to the highest standards.
