Job description: Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities within the warehouse, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to company policies and budget. This role requires strong leadership skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with various teams. Duties * Ensuring a safer working environment, adhering to health and safety policies and regulations, and maintaining compliance with warehousing, handling and shipping legislation. * Manage and supervise all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, dispatching of goods and budgets. * Develop and maintain efficient processes to optimise workflow and productivity within the warehouse. * Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve performance targets and maintain high standards of quality. * Maintaining accurate stock levels, optimising storage space, and coordinating the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. * Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely fulfilment of orders and resolve any logistical issues. * Producing regular reports and statistics on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and operational metrics. * Managing warehouse budgets, controlling costs, and optimizing resource allocation. * Monitor transport and loading requirements in conjunction with the Transport Senior Team Leader. * Monitor transport and loading requirements in conjunction with the Transport Senior Team Leader. * Coordinating the use of automated and computerized systems to optimize efficiency and track inventory. * Ensure supply of resources such as pallets, packaging etc. * Follow up customer queries on delivery non-conformance. * Support Business Continuity projects. * Annually assess and refine FLT requirements with Head of Operations. * Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment for all employees. Experience * Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role is essential. * Experience of working within a FMCG environment * Leadership and Management: Ability to lead and motivate a team of warehouse employees. * Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders. * Organisation and Planning: Ability to plan and organise warehouse operations, manage inventory, and optimise space utilisation. * Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to warehouse operations, safety, and logistics. * Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and develop solutions for process improvement. * Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems: Familiarity with SAP & PowerBi software and their functions. * Knowledge of Logistics and Supply Chain Management: Understanding of the principles of supply chain management and logistics. * Change Management. * Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to warehouse operations is highly desirable.
