Job Title: Head of National Accounts Location: Commutable to London About the Role: (This role is with Paymentshield) Reporting to the Distribution Director you will be responsible for the development of our DA partnerships, Key and National Accounts Channel strategy. In addition, the role will involve the management of senior relationships within key network partners and will lead the NAM team and the implementation of the National Accounts Sales Strategy and P&L to achieve and exceed sales targets through the sales team. Key Responsibilities: Accountability for the achievement of the National Sales Plan, leading to exceeding targets. Working with finance to determine sales forecasts, targets at National Account Level and setting these for each NAM/KAM/BDM. Lead a team to deliver a set of agreed business objectives through application of proven sales management techniques. Proactively coach and develop individuals to increase overall capability through using and applying specialist knowledge and experience. Actively performance manage team to ensure business objectives are achieved. Lead the development of strong business relationships with the senior team and key personnel at each key account. Lead the development of joint Sales & Marketing plans with the key accounts in order to deliver growth for PSL and the key accounts, working with the marketing team on an annual business plan. Ensure new and existing products/propositions are panelled on the best advice/approved list of this customer base. Work with the PSL marketing team to ensure that marketing and sales strategies are aligned. Ensure meeting schedule is in place with every key account quarterly to ensure S&M plan is reviewed and agreed actions achieved. Work with the senior sales leadership team to ensure sales activities are co-ordinated and aligned across the sales channels. Ensure all areas of the business are aligned to the National Account strategy and secure appropriate resources across the wider group/organisation to support the distribution strategy for each account. Represent the sales team in Project meetings to ensure partners needs are considered. Represent PSL at network level through contact with intermediary firms where required. Speak at conferences and seminars when required. Support area and telephone managers to increase sales and profitability, accompanying them in senior meetings/calls where necessary. Organise and run GI Workshops in conjunction with the network distribution and ASM team. Effectively and positively manage the cross functional relationship with other areas of PSL. Ensure that activities and outputs are compliant as required. Ensure you present to the wider exec team an understanding of the Key Accounts business model, FS market, competitors, plus opportunities and threats as they emerge Maintain Key Account File notes and records. Collate monthly management information and market share for exec reporting. Lead on all RFI and tenders and new markets pitches About you: Excellent knowledge of the intermediary mortgage market A proven sales leader having worked as a senior Partnerships Manager or National Account manager in Financial Services, preferably more recently in GI with an ability to demonstrate large partnerships you have won Previous experience managing GI partnerships with the top UK Mortgage Networks Proven knowledge of knowledge of FCA and ABI regulation, market trends and impact on mortgage distribution. Knowledge and understanding of the distributor business models, technology and commercial drivers. Strong Influencer. Strong written and verbal presentation skills. Strong analytical, commercial and financial acumen. Prior experience of creating, presenting and winning GI pitches/tender that drive Top 5% quartile sales. Understanding of technology issues and opportunities facing the industry. Degree educated preferably in business, marketing or FS CEMAP qualified Please note: Overnight stays and travel will be required.
