What you'll be doing:
As a Mobilisation Technician, you’ll play a hands-on role in ensuring our hire equipment is delivered and returned to the highest standards. From preparing and mobilising equipment for shipment to safely demobilising it on return, you’ll be at the heart of our operations.
Your work will include factory acceptance testing, spooling wire ropes, pre-delivery checks, and post-rental inspections—making sure every item is fit for purpose, reliable, and ready for our clients. This is a role for someone who takes pride in detail, efficiency, and getting the job done right the first time.
Day to day you’ll be involved in:
* Test, spool, and set up all hydraulic and electrical winches, as well as diesel and electrical power packs either zoned or safe area.
* Lead and carry out Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) to required standards, with or without clients, and complete all related documentation accurately and on time.
* Follow processes and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all employees, including participation in toolbox talks and task-specific risk assessments.
* Conduct demobilisation inspections on equipment returns, reporting any damage or breakages as required.
* Maintain and monitor hand tooling, equipment, materials, and consumables to ensure efficient use of department resources.
* Assist with mechanical and maintenance servicing as required, maintaining high standards of workmanship and housekeeping.
* Keep competency folders up to date, reflecting skills, knowledge, and performance relevant to your role.
What experience you'll bring:
Essential
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Good understanding of diesel engines and mechanical equipment
* Practical hands on skills with tools and machinery
Preferred
* Time served Mechanical Technician or relevant experience
* Experience in wire rope spooling, working with winches and hydraulic power units
* Knowledge of hydraulic systems
