Mechanical Inspector role at AAGL
Job Description
Urgently seeking Quality Inspectors to provide on-demand / as-required support on a customer programme in Derby. Support will typically be requested with one week's notice and will run for periods of 2-3 weeks at a time. The desired candidates will have previous experience working in an Aerospace Inspection role, performing inspections to engineering drawings, customer purchase orders, industry standards, and specifications.
Responsibilities
* Supporting the final inspection process, including:
o Visual inspection
o Dimensional inspection, using hand measurement equipment
o Review completeness of manufacturing documentation (e.g. CofCs, routers, etc.)
o Document inspection, preparing non-conformance reports as necessary
o Update customer systems
Experience Requirements
* Demonstrate evidence of more than 2 years in the last 5 years of aerospace experience and experience of working within an engineering environment for a minimum of 3 years
* Demonstrate knowledge of interpreting engineering drawings
* Demonstrate knowledge of geometric, dimensioning and tolerance
* Demonstrate evidence of product-specific knowledge and experience in fabricated parts, which are welded and riveted
* Knowledge / experience of AS9100 and AS9102 standards highly advantageous
* Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
