With record levels of investment and ongoing growth plans in the region, there is ample opportunity within our engineering teams. We are seeking a Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer in the South West and Midlands. This role can be based at Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, Birmingham, Derby or Redditch.
You will be involved in the full project life cycle – from feasibility and optioneering through to detailed design and construction support, including site surveys and investigations. You will lead mechanical design for infrastructure & non‑infrastructure projects such as water/wastewater treatment plants, conveyance systems, pumping stations and more. You will work closely with project managers, technical leaders, design engineers, clients, supply chain partners, contractors, planners and other stakeholders to deliver positive project outcomes. In addition, you will mentor and manage other engineers within the team.
About You
You have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related subject, ideally holding Chartered status or working toward it. You have previous experience of detailed design within the water industry, and experience working for or with delivery contractors would also be beneficial. You have experience of developing and leading engineers, with full line‑management responsibilities.
