Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing team delivering projects across the minor civils and landscaping projects. This role will be based between Bedfordshire and London. The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial management of projects, ensuring costs are effectively controlled while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Responsibilities
* Manage the commercial aspects of multiple civils, earthworks and remediation projects.
* Prepare and manage project budgets, cost forecasts and financial reports.
* Administer and manage contracts, with a strong focus on NEC forms of contract.
* Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiation and payments.
* Identify, value and manage variations and change events.
* Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure commercial performance.
* Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts.
* Ensure projects are delivered within agreed budgets and commercial targets.
Qualifications
* Minimum 3–4 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the civils, landscaping or minor civil projects.
* Strong working knowledge and practical experience with NEC forms of contract.
* Proven experience managing the commercial aspects of site‑based projects.
* Excellent negotiation, communication and analytical skills.
* Ability to work independently while supporting project teams.
