We're looking for a Clerk of Works to join our Consultancy Project Services team based in Lincoln. What will you be responsible for?
As a Clerk of Works, you'll be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary design team, focusing on the delivery of building construction projects. Your responsibilities include producing high-quality reports, checking drawings and specifications, supporting project completion within budget, acting as contract administrator on smaller projects, authorising change controls, and liaising with teams to ensure successful delivery.
Your day-to-day will include:
1. Inspecting and reporting on contractor performance, ensuring compliance with contract documents, and assessing survey requirements before work begins.
2. Preparing and presenting detailed reports using relevant software, participating in detailed design processes, and coordinating design information.
3. Liaising professionally with authorities and client representatives, and contributing to design risk assessments.
4. Administering contracts and visiting sites as needed.
5. Supporting local and national sales and bids as appropriate.
What are we looking for?
This role is ideal if you:
* Hold membership of the Institute of Clerk of Works and Construction Inspectorate of Great Britain and possess a full driving license.
* Have extensive relevant knowledge of building projects up to £20M and previous experience as a Clerk of Works or similar role.
* Demonstrate a strong understanding of building construction, can analyze work by designers, and advise on best practices, with awareness of impacts on other disciplines.
