We are building a future-focused Talent Development function to define the workplace of tomorrow within our remote, global open source software company. This is an opportunity for a leader with exceptional skills to build our Talent Development team, enhancing leadership and management practices in our remote environment. We aim to deepen our understanding of remote work effectiveness and invest in research, analytics, training, and policies to elevate remote collaboration and leadership standards.
This role is the fourth Lead position in our People team, a diverse group of psychologists, engineers, analytics experts, and HR specialists. We recruit globally, valuing diverse backgrounds and experiences, with the goal of providing clarity on our organizational identity and practices as we evolve.
Location:
This role is remote, based in the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Define and implement a comprehensive talent development program.
2. Develop and embed management and leadership development initiatives.
3. Design and deliver core training programs, partnering with vendors as needed.
4. Create leadership performance metrics and indicators.
5. Manage our leadership skills matrix for performance, talent assessment, and career development.
6. Establish a global learning framework for training and career growth.
7. Build and lead a team of Talent Development specialists.
8. Utilize data to identify trends and strategize career development frameworks.
9. Manage and optimize the impact of the learning budget.
Qualifications:
* Strong academic background from high school onward.
* Experience in managing remote teams within a tech company, with insights into successful remote work practices.
* Understanding of high-performing team dynamics.
* Strategic leadership and change management skills.
* Business acumen with a focus on strategy and execution.
* Data analysis skills, especially in measuring development program impacts.
* Experience in people management and budget accountability.
* Willingness to travel up to four times a year for internal events.
