We are seeking an organised, proactive, and professional Conveyancing Legal Secretary to join our growing property team in Gillingham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills and previous experience in residential conveyancing who is looking to join a friendly, supportive, and reputable firm.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing full secretarial and administrative support to conveyancing fee earners
* Preparing and formatting legal documents, correspondence, and contracts
* Managing diaries, scheduling appointments, and organising case files
* Opening and closing files, carrying out AML checks, and preparing client care packs
* Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other third parties
* Ordering searches, submitting SDLT forms, and handling Land Registry applications
* Audio typing and digital dictation
* Ensuring all work is completed accurately and within deadlines
About You
* Previous experience as a legal secretary within conveyancing is essential
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask
* Confident communication skills and a professional telephone manner
* A proactive and positive approach to workload and teamwork
* Familiarity with case management systems and general IT competence
