Main duties and responsibilities
1. Work closely with all relevant departments to plan and implement the introduction of measurable and effective continuous process/workflow improvements in line with company and department KPI’s.
2. Carry out work studies and balance production processes to improve operational KPI’s.
3. Determine and introduce optimum facility and equipment layouts.
4. Review and improve material flow throughout Decora, using stock control and Kanban systems.
5. Introduce and maintain Bill of Materials as necessary.
6. Actively progress projects through the Engineering Change Process.
7. Resource machinery and provide data to support applications for capital expenditure as part of continuous improvement.
8. Assist in the planning and development of operational resources.
9. Responsible for the operational introduction of New Products in-line with NPD process.
10. Analyse and drive forward Problem solving, Quality improvements and Waste reduction through inter-Departmental Meetings.
11. Ensure prompt and regular communications within the Engineering department and between other relevant departments.
12. Liaise with customers and suppliers as necessary to clarify technical details and overcome problems.
13. Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.

Essential requirements
14. Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Degree
15. At least 1 years’ experience working within a Process Engineering role in a manufacturing environment
16. Demonstrate experience of introducing measurable and effective process improvements
17. Strong organisational and project management skills
18. Experience of lean manufacturing techniques
19. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and CAD Software
20. Demonstrable report writing skills
21. Project/Teamwork experience
22. Full clean UK driving licence with access to own vehicle
23. High level of accuracy with excellent attention to detail
24. Demonstrate initiative and tenacity
25. Ability to manage and prioritise workload
26. Able to work to deadlines
27. Organisational &planning capabilities
28. Good communication skills
29. Willingness to learn
30. Willing to be flexible in terms of working hours
31. Availability for overtime
32. Able to work in a team or individually, as required
