Overview
We are seeking a highly organised Publishing Editor to join our teamto oversee and manage the editorial production process of both our print and digital outputs, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and smooth delivery from planning to publication across various platforms. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a passion for storytelling. As a Publisher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all published materials are accurate, engaging, and aligned with our brand's vision.
Duties
* Manage the entire publishing process from concept to final product, ensuring timely delivery of all materials.
* Conduct thorough fact-checking to maintain the integrity and accuracy of published content.
* Collaborate with writers and editors to develop high-quality articles, reports, and other written materials.
* Utilise word processing software to format and prepare documents for publication.
* Engage in copywriting and creative writing to produce compelling narratives that resonate with our audience.
* Proofread all content meticulously to eliminate errors and enhance readability before publication.
* Assist in proposal writing for new projects or initiatives, presenting ideas clearly and persuasively.
* Maintain effective communication with team members and stakeholders throughout the publishing process.
Requirements
* Proven publishing experience or a related field is preferred.
* Strong skills in fact-checking, proofreading, and copywriting are essential.
* Proficiency in word processing software is required; familiarity with publishing tools is advantageous.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey ideas effectively.
* A creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative content ideas.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
* A degree in English, Communications, or a related discipline is desirable but not mandatory.

DESIRABLE SKILLS
· Experience in magazine production
· Knowledge of CPD and professional education content.
· Experience in health, science, or nutrition publishing.
· Basic image editing and familiarity with flatplan software.
· Comfortable with uploading and formatting digital/web content.
