Locum Social Worker - Family Safeguarding Location: North West Locality - Woking Office: Victoria Gate, Woking, GU21 6JD Rate: £42 per hour Hours: 36 per week Contract: 3-month ongoing contract We're working in partnership with Surrey County Council to recruit an experienced Locum Social Worker for a 3-month ongoing contract based in the North West locality (Woking). You'll be joining a stable, well-supported team that delivers relationship-based social work, supporting children and families in the area. What you'll be doing: Managing a caseload of children in need and child protection cases using LiquidLogic Carrying out assessments, statutory visits, direct work and safety planning Collaborating with in-house adult workers covering mental health, domestic abuse, and substance misuse Participating in multi-agency meetings including conferences, core groups and strategy discussions Preparing clear, evidence-based reports for court when required Using motivational interviewing to promote positive outcomes To be considered, you must: Have at least three years' post-qualified experience in a permanent role within an English Local Authority Be Social Work England registered with a recognised Social Work qualification Not be permanently employed by another South East Local Authority (due to MOU restrictions) Why locum with Surrey through Connect2Surrey?
