Main duties of the job

The post is a 2 year fixed-term full-time placement. Trainees will rotate through all specialist sections of the pharmacy department. The qualification will enable you to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) at the end of the training. You will be supported throughout the training period and will learn to complete a range of tasks within timescales to a competent standard. You will undertake an apprenticeship to obtain a Certificate of Higher Education in Pharmacy Technician Practice, involving working with an assessor to develop a work-based portfolio, completing work-based assessments, and assignments.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Your apprenticeship training will be with the University of East Anglia. The apprenticeship is a fixed-term 24-month programme and you will be employed through East Kent Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for the duration of the apprenticeship.

To be eligible for consideration for Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician interview you must meet all essential criteria and have:

• Minimum of three GCSEs at Grade A*-C/9-4 including Mathematics, English Language and Science
• Original copies of the above certificates must be shown at interview (failure to do so will result in cancellation of the interview)

Experience
