About the Role
Andrews Sykes is seeking a skilled and motivated Pump Engineer to join our Midlands team. This is a field-based role responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of our specialist pump hire equipment across a wide range of customer sites, including construction, utilities, industrial, and environmental projects.

Key Responsibilities
* Install, commission, and decommission pump equipment on customer sites
* Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently and safely
* Perform routine service and maintenance on a range of diesel and electric pumps
* Provide technical support and advice to customers on site
* Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations
* Complete job reports and service documentation accurately
* Participate in the on-call rota (with additional pay)
Requirements
* Mechanical engineering experience (plant, pumps, generators, or similar)
* Good fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
* Full UK driving licence
* Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
* Good customer‑facing and communication skills
* Experience working with pumps or related equipment
* Electrical knowledge
* CSCS card
* IPAF or CPCS qualifications
