Overview
SWFT Clinical Services Limited are looking for HealthCare Assistant to join our bank staff within our private patient unit, The Grafton Suite, at Stratford Hospital in Stratford-upon-Avon. The position will be offered on a zero-hour contract basis. We welcome healthcare backgrounds; theatre experience is advantageous.
Responsibilities
* Undertake all duties in line with training and instruction provided by the nursing team
* Assist at clinics, greet patients and provide refreshments as required
* Assist nursing staff in the preparation and support of patients prior to, during and after clinical activities
* Chaperone and assist patients to dress/undress as required
* Contribute to the effectiveness of the patient journey while maintaining privacy and dignity
* Act as a runner and assist the theatre scrub nurse during operations and procedures
* Perform ophthalmic testing such as OCT and Visual Field Analysis after suitable training
* Maintain a safe, clean and tidy environment for patient care
* Ensure correct collection and storage of clinical waste prior to disposal
* Maintain adequate clinical stock levels and stationery in each room
* Use the patient management system for patient searches as required
* Undertake clerical duties as necessary e.g. reception, notes preparation, adding patient details to the system and photocopying
* Answer phone calls and take messages as required
* Work safely in accordance with legislative requirements and clinic policy
* Undertake and receive appropriate training for specific tasks as delegated by the General Manager or Senior Nurse
* Acknowledge limitations/concerns regarding delegated tasks when not competent to perform
* Complete mandatory training on an annual basis

Pay: £29,489 to £36,169 a year pro rata (Dependent Upon Experience)

* GCSE Maths and English
* CSW care certificate, level 1 minimum
