Development Support Officer – Disability Supported Accommodation Services and Short Breaks
We are seeking an experienced Development Support Officer to join the Disability Supported Accommodation Services (DSAS) and Short Breaks (SBS) teams at Manchester City Council. The role involves data gathering, performance reporting, quality assurance checks and stakeholder liaison to support the delivery of high quality disabled accommodation services.
Key Information
* Working Hours – 35 Hours per week / Full-Time
* Contract Type – Permanent
* Additional Payments – 10% Flexibility Payment

Key Responsibilities
* Gather and maintain data from multiple sources to feed performance dashboards and reporting systems.
* Conduct on‑site quality assurance checks, meeting with staff and residents to identify improvement opportunities.
* Work early and late shifts on a rota basis, liaising with staff and agencies to ensure adequate staffing.
* Maintain accurate training records and provide support across the city as required.
* Support colleagues with system usage and drive continuous improvements in service efficiency.
Key Qualifications
* Experience providing and analysing effective and timely reports that meet service needs and identify trends.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Teams and performance database tools (Tanda, Just Roaming, Joined Up, Eploy‑Recruitment).
* Strong data quality monitoring and ability to take appropriate action.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and ability to work collaboratively across the council.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
